Accessibility
Many of the people we help are reading Medicare information on a phone, with reading glasses, or with a family member. We built this site to be easy for everyone to use, and we aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we do
- Large default text (18 pixels for body copy) with high contrast colors.
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
- Headings, labels and landmarks for screen readers, and a skip link on every page.
- Text alternatives for images, and tables with proper headers.
- Animation is reduced when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Questions and answers are written in plain language.
